Micklefield has a strong ethos of giving back to the community. The girls are encouraged as individuals and as members of the Early-Act Club to participate in a variety of outreach activities which they initiate and follow through with the support of the staff and their parents.
As part of a 6 month Outreach Programme, some of the girls do a community project on a voluntary basis. Examples of these projects have included visiting foster homes on a weekly basis and doing collection drives at school for donating clothes to creches. The girls learn valuable lessons about persistence and offering support to children less fortunate than themselves.
Micklefield has a dynamic Early Act Club which encourages learners to participate in active citizenship. Through commitment and effective leadership the members improve the quality of their life at school, in local and global communities. Girls volunteer for outreach projects, partner with fellow schools in the area and network in the broader community. It is a school wide service club where members are encouraged to be helpful and caring.
