The updated 2025 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Ed-Admin Multi Portal App, under Documentation. Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning for the new year. All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer is available on the Ed-Admin Multi Portal App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-Murals. Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers.
The winter sport season is approaching and there is a lot of planning that goes into the hockey, netball and cross country. Hard copy letters with all the winter sport information will go home with your daughters on Monday and it is very important that we have the relevant reply slips returned by Wednesday 12 March. There are bus costs involved and these need to billed to your school accounts.
Please note the change in time for the Grade 6 and Grade 7 (Open age group) hockey practice on Tuesdays. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of RBPS and have to fit in with what is available. This means that the Open age group hockey players will finish at WPCC at 13.45 and may go straight home. Those who need to return to school for extra Drama or those who cannot be collected at that time, will be returned to school by bus and may attend Aftercare at no cost.
The girls from Grade 4 – 7 who do not play hockey, remain at school on Tuesdays and do their compulsory Sports Hour until 14.20.
Please note that the last session of Sport hour for term 1 will be as follows:
Early morning tennis practices will finish for the term on Monday, 10 March, Wednesday, 12 March and Friday, 14 March respectively. The last fixtures will be played on Thursday, 13 March.
Early morning training for the U11s, U12s and U13s is now complete for the term. The last practice for the U8s, U9s and U10s will be on Tuesday, 11 March. All galas are now complete for this term.
Please see under Documents, Sport and Extra-Murals the various hockey clinics on offer as well as game time for our girls’ pre-season. These are all run by JHS (Jill is one of our senior coaches) so they come highly recommended. These were also sent out on the Sport Whatsapp groups for Grade 3-7.
The Open A team came 4th in the A and B couples of the PGSGU Inter-Schools Tournament held at Springfield on Thursday 6 March. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to these girls.
The Grade 4s did a fantastic job on their personal history museums this week.
What a treat we had listening to such talented young musicians in assembly this week.
