GRADE 6 ENTREPRENEURS

Our Grade 6s will be having a sale, on Thursday 16 May, at first break, as part of their entrepreneurial project. Each group is raising funds for a charity of their choosing.

Please support our Grade 6s by sending in cash for this sale (notes of small denominations i.e. R10s and R20s).

LOST PROPERTY

Unfortunately, we still have a pile of lost property. These item are either unmarked or incorrectly marked items of clothing. We have a system to return lost property to the girls, but we can only do this if the items are marked correctly.

Please note:

  • If you purchase a second-hand item of clothing, change the name in the item to your child’s name so that we can return it to them rather than looking for past pupils who are no longer here.

Going forward, unmarked or incorrectly marked items of clothing will be handed over to the Second Hand Shop.

Congratulations to the following Grade 7 Micklefield learners on receiving scholarships for High School for 2025.

  • Amy Carlson: St Cyprians – Academic
  • Lise Muller: St Cyprians – Academic
  • Sophie Burchell: St Cyprians – All Round
  • Sofiya Variawa: St Cyprians – Sport
  • Leilah Joseph: St Cyprians – Music
  • Leah Farlam: Springfield – Academic

USE OF BICYCLES IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS

It is great to see parents bringing their girls to school on bicycles and some of our pupils riding their own bicycles to school.

Please note:

  • There is a bicycle rack in the front of the school next to the hall to store bicycles that are here for the day.
  • No bicycles may be ridden on the school grounds.
    • Please get off your bicycles and push them when you are in the grounds.  This is for safety reasons as we certainly do not want someone getting injured!

Debating Teams

We are very proud of our Grade 6 and 7 debating teams who have risen to the challenge and have done amazingly well in their first few rounds.

Calling all knitwits – the annual challenge is on!

We hope to continue our tradition of helping those less fortunate than ourselves to wrap up warmly this winter.

We encourage you to knit or crochet beanies and/or scarves this year. Send the completed items to school and we will deliver these to our ‘Knitting Fairies” who will distribute these items according to the needs of our community.

Ready, set, get knitting!!!
