WEEKLY SNAPSHOT

A very big thank you to all our parents who have marshalled on the Cross Country routes for the Grade 3-7 girls as well as the Grade 1 and Grade 2 girls.  We really do appreciate your help in getting our girls stronger, fitter and faster!

A special mention to all our Grandparents who have marshalled and encouraged our Grade 1 and Grade 2 runners on their routes!

Fun at Inter-house Hockey

The Cape Town Premier League (CPL) Hockey Tournament took place over the last two weekends. It allows players to sign up and be drafted into teams.

I was fortunate to join the Raptors, coached by Cara Andrews. The tournament attracts players from all over the Western Cape, and gave me the opportunity to meet new girls and coaches. The best part of the experience was making new friends and, of course, playing loads of hockey.

I learnt so many new tactics and skills that I’m excited about. As a first-time player doing CPL, I highly recommend all hockey-loving Micklefield girls to sign up for this amazing tournament next year.

  • Sofiya Variawa
Congratulations to Sofiya Variawa whose hockey team, The Raptors won the CPL U13 Hockey Tournament over the past weekend.

Congratulations to our past pupil, Kiera Howard who is presently in Matric at Herschel who was selected for the SA U18 Basketball Team and played in the FIBA AfroBasket Tournament in Pretoria recently. An outstanding achievement, we are very proud of you, Kiera!
