Call for Donations

📚 Secondhand Book Stall – We Need Your Donations! 🏆

The Grade 0s are asking all families to donate gently used books – for all ages – to the secondhand book stall.

To make it extra fun, we’re turning it into a House Competition.

  • Each book donated = 1 point for your House.

Will it be the Robins, Kingfishers, or Swallows who come out on top?

You can donate books by dropping them off at the back of the hall, in your house box.

Start clearing those shelves and let’s see which house can build the biggest book mountain! 📖💪

🧺 Bric-a-Brac Stall – Time to Declutter! ✨

The Grade 3s are gearing up for their Bric-a-Brac Stall, and we’re calling on all families to help fill the tables.

We’re collecting good-quality, pre-loved treasures — think:

  • ornaments,
  • kitchenware,
  • toys,
  • décor,
  • gadgets,
  • games,
  • and all those bits and bobs you no longer need.

Drop your donations off in the foyer of the hall, and help us turn clutter into cash for a good cause.

🎟️ Lucky Draw Prize Donations Needed! 🎁✨

The Grade 6s are preparing for the ever-popular Lucky Draw at the Micklefield Market, and we’re looking for fabulous prizes to make it our best one yet.

Prizes can be big or small — from vouchers, hampers, and beauty products to wine, homeware, or fun family experiences. Every donation helps make the draw exciting and supports our school.

If you or your business can contribute, please fill in the donations Google Form below.

Let’s make this a Lucky Draw to remember!

Micklefield Birthday Outreach

As part of our 97th Birthday celebrations, we are embracing the spirit of giving that lies at the heart of our school.

This year’s Micklefield Birthday Outreach projects allow each grade to make a meaningful difference in the community, sharing kindness and care beyond our school walls.

Together, we celebrate not only our rich history but also the values that have shaped Micklefield for nearly a century.

Grade 1–3 – Rondebosch Clean-Up

Our Grade 1–3 girls rolled up their sleeves and joined forces with Save-a-Fishie for a community clean-up of the Rondebosch Common. Armed with gloves and bags, the girls worked together to collect litter, helping to protect local wildlife and keep this beautiful space clean for everyone to enjoy. It was a wonderful hands-on lesson in caring for our environment and making a difference close to home.

Grade 2 Outreach – Ladles of Love

A huge thank you to our Grade 2 families for the generous contributions of bread, jam, and peanut butter for our sandwich-making project in support of Ladles of Love. 🍞🥪 Thanks to your kindness, we made more than 400 sandwiches.

WOW. What an amazing way to spread love and care in our community.

Grade 5 – Dews of Quietness

Our Grade 5 girls have been hard at work counting and organising the generous donations brought in before they are parcelled and delivered to Dews of Quietness.

A heartfelt thank you to all our Grade 5 girls and their parents for your kindness, generosity, and support in making this outreach project such a success.

Grade 7 Outreach – Christine Revell Children’s Home

Our Grade 7 girls visited the Christine Revell Children’s Home, bringing warmth, joy, and plenty of smiles.

They prepared special snack packs for the children and spent time in the morning playing, chatting, and simply enjoying time together. It was a heartwarming experience for both the girls and the children, and a wonderful reminder of the power of kindness and connection.
