Revisiting our School Mission statement

A core component of the OISESA self-study is ensuring that our school’s Mission Statement remains a living, relevant document that guides our path. As part of our biannual policy review and in preparation for the evaluation, we have revisited this guiding document.

This process has been deeply collaborative. We received feedback from our staff, and the proposed revision reflects the collective preference of our teachers, the Management Committee (MANCO) and the Micklefield Board of Governors. We believe the refined wording more accurately captures the nurturing, individualised, and compassionate environment we strive to provide for every Micklefield girl.

Current Mission: Micklefield offers a broad, but individualised independent, junior school educational experience. Its small and caring family environment encourages its girls to grow to their full potential and to become valuable members of society.

Proposed Revision: Micklefield is an independent primary school offering a broad and enriching educational experience. Within our small, nurturing community, each girl is known, supported and encouraged to reach her full potential as a confident and compassionate member of society.

We invite you to become familiar with this updated wording. The revised Mission Statement will be presented for formal approval and ratification at our AGM 12 March.
