Golden Tickets at the Ready – It’s Show Time 🍫🎭

We’re thrilled to announce that our Intersen Phase school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming this September.

Step into a world of pure imagination as our talented young cast brings Roald Dahl’s beloved tale to life on stage – complete with golden tickets, Oompa Loompas, and of course, a visit from the one and only Willy Wonka.

As we prepare for this magical adventure, we need your help behind the scenes. We will be calling on our amazing parent community to help with:

  • Set building and painting (let’s make that chocolate factory shine!)

  • Costume co-ordination

  • Costume sourcing (can you help us find some Oompa Loompa-worthy outfits?)

Whether you’re handy with a hammer, have a flair for fashion, or just love to be part of the action, we’d love to have you on board.

Rehearsal Schedule starting in May. This is also in Documents on the Ed-Admin Portal

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS FOR SPORT PRACTICES AND MATCHES

At Micklefield we pride ourselves on our excellent sportsmanship both on and off the field.  We ask that Parents follow the guidelines below:

  • If your daughter is injured or not at school for a practice or match, please contact Sandi Blackbeard directly.
  • Please do not approach coaches. Address Sandi Blackbeard, or the teacher on duty at the particular practice or match, with any concerns.
  • For matches, we encourage parents to cheer for the whole team rather than calling individual names. The players need to hear the coach’s instructions, and coaching comments from spectators can be distracting.
  • Please do not criticise the umpires/referees as their decision is final. These teachers and coaches give of their time and expertise to make our games possible.
  • Please always applaud for the opponents if they score a goal.
  • We teach our girls to win and lose graciously. If we lose, we do not blame other players, the umpire or the opponents. There are valuable lessons to be learnt when a team has lost.

We look forward to a busy, happy season of winter sport!
