We’re updating our database to reconnect with past pupils, families, and friends of the school in preparation for our centenary in 2028.
If you are part of our Micklefield Alumni, please take a moment to update your details using the link HERE – and feel free to pass it on to anyone you know with a Micklefield connection. Let’s make sure everyone is part of this special milestone.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and warmest farewell to Mrs Metcalf, who has so wonderfully stepped in for Mrs Dollie during her maternity leave. With her calm presence, kind heart, and steady guidance, Mrs Metcalf has been a cherished part of our team over the past two terms.
She has nurtured and supported the girls with care, brought creativity into the classroom, and embraced the Micklefield spirit with enthusiasm. We are so grateful for all she has contributed and wish her everything of the best as she heads off to her next adventure. Thank you, Mrs Metcalf—you will always be part of the Micklefield family.
The updated 2025 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Ed-Admin Multi Portal App, under Documentation. There are no formal Friday cross country races next term, but we will be organising our own on Friday, 8 August and Friday, 15 August, details will follow. It is compulsory for all Grade 4-7 girls who are part of the Fast Group (Inter-Schools team) to participate in these training runs in order to prepare for the Inter-Schools cross country on Friday, 22 August. All other Keep Fit runners, as well as any interested Grade 1 and Grade 2 learners, are also invited to participate on the 8th and 15th. We will be looking for parent volunteers to help as marshals on both of these Fridays. The training sessions will most likely take place around Rondebosch Common.

Congratulations to the Swallows for winning the Inter-House Netball trophy.
Congratulations to the Swallows for winning the House cup for Term 2.
Our Grade 00 and Grade 0 girls have had a tuneful and energetic time in their Music for Minis sessions this week.
Grade 00 explored music through imaginative play, transforming into sleepy and action-packed bunnies as they followed musical cues and movement instructions. It was a delightful way to build listening skills, coordination, and a love for rhythm.
Meanwhile, our Grade 0 girls worked on developing their sense of rhythm and timing, proudly performing their very own version of Old Town Road using percussion instruments. The room was full of focus, fun, and fantastic beats.
We’re so proud of our littlest musicians as they grow in confidence and creativity each week.
Well done to our girls on their splendid performance at the Bishops music assembly on a cold and rainy day! What a lovely way to wrap up our first semester.
