Achievements

Figure Skating Achievements

We are incredibly proud to share that Alayna (Grade 2) has successfully completed the first six months of her Development Programme with the South African Figure Skating Association.

At the end of December 2025, Alayna was awarded two trophies:

  1. An Achievement Award for passing all her ice-skating grading exams on her first attempt
  2. An Attendance Award for successfully attending all required classes throughout 2025.

Alayna also had the honour of participating in the Junior Blades Club’s 50th Anniversary Gala Event Show in December.

This is a wonderful achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, discipline and perseverance she has shown.

Meet Angela and Jaydee 🐾

At the end of last year, we had the privilege of welcoming Angela and her guide dog, Jaydee, to the school.

After losing her sight, Angela has embraced a remarkable new chapter — and together with Jaydee, she is currently walking the Pondo Trail, turning an extraordinary hike into a powerful journey of courage, hope and determination.

You are invited to follow their journey, “Paws on the Path,” on Instagram and be inspired by Angela’s adventurous spirit and Jaydee’s loyal companionship.

Those who would like to support their journey can also contribute via their BackaBuddy campaign, helping to raise awareness and support for guide dogs and the life-changing work they do. All the funds raised will be given to the Guide Dog Association of South Africa.

The Intuition Process workshop, offered by the globally renowned Art of Living Foundation, is a gentle yet profound program designed to help children and teens reconnect with their inner clarity and trust their gut feeling.

What children gain

  • A deeper connection to their own inner guidance
  • Improved learning ability beyond the logical mind
  • Greater calm and emotional stability
  • Improved focus and memory
  • Enhanced confidence and self-trust
  • Increased creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Reduced stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue
