WEEKLY SNAPSHOT

We celebrated Voting day by holding our own vote at school. The Grade 1-3 girls voted for a new Principal who would look after the school while Ms Gray was away on Conference.

Who will win the vote:

  • Ms Smith
  • Ms Felton
  • Ms Wyngaard
Ms Liani Smith won the vote and became "Principal for the Day". She worked hard and caused a bit of chaos.
Congratulations to Stella Bryan and Catherine Davidge from Grade 5 who have been selected for the U11 PSI Sharks Team to participate in the Nationals in Cape Town in the June/July holidays. Well done to Jamie Viljoen and Rosa Brotchie who are reserves for this team.
Congratulations to the Grade 1 and Grade 2 Hip-Hop girls who completed their exams last week!

Cape Town Marimba Festival 2024

Friday 24 May

The Grade 6 and 7 Marimba bands were invited to perform alongside 18 other schools at the Baxter Theatre on Friday 24 May.

Our girls rehearsed in the theatre in the afternoon. The “gees” in the theatre was contagious and spurred a further incentive to get all the participants playing at their best. Our girls spent quite a while backstage, where they kept themselves entertained while awaiting their turn to perform. They loved the experience of playing in this beautiful theatre to such an appreciative audience.

Thank you Grant Adams and your entire team from Woodworx Marimbas for making these memories possible for our girls.
