Introducing the Micklefield Bear: Handmade with Love!

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming sale of the Micklefield Bear.

Each bear is lovingly crafted with care, by a community of female crafters in Mitchells plain, making every one of them unique and full of character.

The Micklefield Bear isn’t just a one of a kind cuddly companion; it’s also a way to support our school. All proceeds from the sales will go directly to helping fund the building on our new property and the swimming pool.

Get ready to welcome the Micklefield Bear into your home and be part of something special!

Silver linings conference

Dear Parents,

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous contributions to the Silver Linings Conference. Whether you sponsored prizes or provided items for our goodie bags, your support played a crucial role in making our event special and meaningful for everyone involved.

The theme of our conference, “Falling in Love with Education Again,” was brought to life in so many ways, and your contributions were a big part of that. Thanks to you, we were able to spoil our delegates and show them how much they are appreciated. From the thoughtful prizes to the little surprises in their goodie bags, every detail added to the feeling of being valued and looked after.

Our goal was to remind every educator in attendance to look for the silver linings in their work and to leave feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Your kindness helped us create that atmosphere of positivity and encouragement. You helped us show our teachers that they are not only important to their students but to the entire community.

Once again, thank you for your generosity and for being a part of this journey with us. Your support truly made a difference, and we are so grateful for it.

With warm regards and appreciation,

Silver Linings Conference Team

Micklefield Art Exhibition

A Colorful Week at Micklefield’s Art Exhibition

This week, our school was buzzing with creativity as students amazing artwork filled the hall for the Micklefield Art Exhibition. From 3rd to 6th September, everyone had a chance to see the beautiful and imaginative pieces our learners created, showing off their hard work and talent.

Visitors loved seeing the different kinds of art, each one telling its own special story. We’re so proud of all our young artists for putting their hearts into their work, and we want to thank everyone who came to support the exhibition. We would also like to say a special thank you to Mrs Schutz for all her hard work in putting this Art Exhibition together.

Cape Town Eisteddfod

Woodwinds 31 August 2024

Our two flautists, Sophie Fyvie and Alexa Burns excelled at the Cape Town eisteddfod’s woodwind section.

They played a solo each and then did a duet.

The adjudicator was so impressed that she gave them 3 Diplomas for excellent performance!

The convenor was also surprised to see the new “Nuvo” flutes that our girls performed on.
