The updated 2024 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Edana App, under Documentation. Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning. All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer is available on the Edana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals. Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers.
A very important information letter went home with all the girls from Grade 1 – 7 this week. It is also available on the Edana App. The winter terms are busy with netball, hockey and cross country practices as well as matches/races. There are a lot of moving parts so it is very important to please follow the schedule and the fixtures when they are available. Match venues can only be confirmed the week before the match and will appear in the Friday newsletter. Please respect the coaches selection of teams for each week as they will move players around as and when they are ready. If you have any queries, please direct them to Sandi Blackbeard and not with the coaches directly.
WINTER SPORT REPLY SLIPS
All winter sport reply slips should have been returned by Friday, 15 March. Please ensure any outstanding forms are returned on Monday, 18 March.
This is during the school day on Tuesdays and remains in place throughout the year.
This falls away in Terms 2 and 3 due to the winter sport program but will resume again in Term 4.

Grade 1-7 took part in a Maths Mystery titled The Superbad Superhero. Our girls solved all sorts of Maths clues in teams and developed their critical thinking and collaboration skills along the way.
Our Mathhattan detectives worked tiresly to identify which superhero went rogue but also to free the Mathattan citizens and the town’s mayor. Well done to all the girls who displayed their mathematical prowess, exceptional collaborative skills, and determination.
What a special assembly we had this morning! Our Grade 4, 5, 6 and 7 girls sang “Song of Peace” in two part harmony in both English and Latin. This was followed by three young pianists performing their solos with poise and polish. Our programme ended on the most beautiful note: Shocking Pink’s rendition of “The Prayer” which brought a tear to the eye! We are so proud of our singing at Micklefield and the exceptionally high standard of our musicians! Keep up the good work girls!
