2023 Sport & Extra-Mural Programme

The 2023 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Edana App, under Documentation.  Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning.

PRIVATELY RUN EXTRA-MURALS: ALL GRADES (00 – 7)

All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer are available on the Edana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals.  Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers.

TENNIS PRACTICES:

  • For private tennis lessons, please find the BVTS Micklefield Tennis Academy information in the Adana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals.  We are wanting one coaching style for our girls so we can build our teams to be strong and competitive.
  • All early morning tennis practices are now complete for the term.

INTER-SCHOOLS TENNIS:

Our Open A tennis team took part in the PGSGU Inter-Schools Tennis Tournament on Tuesday, 14 March held at Springfield.  It was a doubles tournament with an A couple section and a B couple section.  The girls played exceptionally well against strong opposition and swirling wind!  Our A couple, Sophie Burchell and Leah Prins finished 4th and our B couple, Sofiya Variawa and Ava Brotchie finished 5th In their section.  Well done, girls!

SPORTS HOUR: GRADE 4 – 7

Sports Hour for Grade 4-7 is now complete for the term.  This will resume in Term 4.  The Grade 3 Sport Hour continues as usual as it is during the school day.

WINTER SPORT PROGRAMME
Please see the Adana App under Documents, Sport/Extra-Murals for the  information letter with reply slips for the winter sports programme.  In order for the programme to run smoothly and efficiently, all reply slips and indemnity forms (bus) must be returned by Monday, 27 March.  There are a lot of logistics and many outside coaches so we need to be ready to start on the first day of term, Tuesday, 18 April with hockey for Grade 3 – 7 and netball for Grade 3 – 7 on Wednesday, 19 April.

A hard copy was sent home this week with every pupil.  Please refer to this information and contact Sandi Blackbeard if you have any queries.
