SPORT & EXTRA-MURALS

The updated 2024 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Edana App, under Documentation.  Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning. All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer is available on the Edana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals.  Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers. 

TERM 2 AND 3 WINTER SPORT 

Match venues can only be confirmed the week before the match and will appear in the Friday newsletter.  Please respect the coaches selection of teams for each week as they will move players around as and when they are ready.  If you have any queries, please direct them to Sandi Blackbeard and not with the coaches directly. 

NETBALL 

Monday, 22 April 

  • U9s practice at Micklefield from 13.30 – 14.30 
  • U10s practice at Micklefield from 14.30 – 15.30
  • U11s practice at RGHS from 14.30 – 16.00
  • U12s practice at RGHS from 14.30 – 16.00
  • U13s practice at RGHS from 14.30 – 16.00 

The U11, U12 and U13 girls leave school immediately at 14.30 and go straight to RGHS. 

Wednesday, 24 April– matches vs Camps Bay Primary 

  • U9 A and B at Micklefield
  • U10 A and B at Camps Bay
  • U11 A and B at Camps Bay
  • U12 A and B at Micklefield
  • U13 A and B at Camps Bay 

All matches start at 3pm, on most match days, we leave school earlier in order to get to the opposing school on time. Please check the info on the weekly team sheet for the exact details for each match. 

HOCKEY 

Tuesday, 23 April 

  • U9s practice at Micklefield from 13.30 – 14.30
  • U10s practice at WPCC – bus takes them to WPCC, parents collect at WPCC at 14.45
  • U11s practice at WPCC – bus takes them to WPCC, parents collect at WPCC at 14.45
  • Open teams (U12 and U13) at WPCC – bus takes them to WPCC, parents collect at WPCC at 14.45 

Thursday, 25 April – matches vs Sun Valley 

  • U9 A and B at Sun Valley
  • U10 A and B at Sun Valley
  • U11 A and B at Sun Valley
  • Open A and B at Sun Valley

WEEKLY SNAPSHOT

Congratulations to Alison Smith who completed the 2 Oceans Ultra (56km) on Saturday and to Gail Fargher who finished her 10th 2 Oceans Half Marathon on SundayFantastic ladies! Thank you to Charlotte Moir for the support! 

⚠️Warning – spider alert! The Grade 2s are learning about Animals this term. Georgie-Mae brought an exoskeleton of an Arizona Blonde Tarantula.

Well done to the girls who participated in the first Friday cross country race at Zwaanswyk last week.

Our U10s at their first netball match this week, also winning 1-0.

Congratulations to Dani O' Ryan on achieving 98% for her Trinity grade 1 piano examination

Our Grade 1s ran their first cross country out of the school grounds on Wednesday and did very well!
