UPCOMING MEET THE TEACHER EVENINGS

  • GR 4-7: Wednesday 24 January, 18:00 – 19:30
  • GR 00-3: Monday 29 January, 18:00 – 19:30

Library book donations at Meet the Teacher evenings

A table of specially selected books that our library shelves would love to host will be on show at the Meet the Teacher evenings from 17:40 until 17:55.

Please consider selecting a book to donate to our library. A donation plaque with your daughter’s name and grade will be placed inside the book and she will also be the first to take the  brand new donated book home from the library. The cost of the book will be billed to your school account, so no need for cash. These donated books are a legacy for years to come for all girls visiting the library.

JUNIOR AND SENIOR AFTERCARE FORMS

PLease note that the deadline to submit 2024 Aftercare forms is Friday 19 February. The forms have been handed out in hard copies and are also available on the Edana App under Documents.

CIVVIES day AND BIRTHDAY OUTFITS

Please can we ask parents’ support in ensuring that girls wear appropriate attire to school for Civvies, Birthdays and school functions. Please no overly revealing short shorts or crop tops. As a guideline, sport shorts are considered an appropriate length for school.

CHESS volunteer

We are looking for a parent/grandparent volunteer who is passionate about chess and available to run Chess as an extra-mural at Micklefeld. PLease contact Sandi Blackbeard sandi@micklefield.co.za if you are interested or know of someone who may be keen. In the Summer months, the time slots available would be either during second break (12:50 -13:30) or after school.

DOGS AT SCHOOL

We would like to encourage parents not to bring dogs onto the school campus but if dogs are brought to school, they must be on a leash. This is for the well being of all our girls and we thank you for your support in this.

punctuality and attendance

  • Punctuality is extremely important. Please ensure that your daughter arrives at school at least  5 minutes before the start of her school day.
  • Absenteeism: regular attendance is necessary for your daughter/s to benefit fully from all that is on offer at Micklefield. Please do not allow her to remain at home unless she is sick.
