PRIVATE EXTRA-MURALS

The private extra-mural service providers normally offer 8 lessons per term, starting in the second week of term and ending in the second last week.  The 4th term is however shorter so some private extra-murals might only have 7 lessons or some might start in the first week back.  They have been asked to liaise directly with you, but if you are unsure, please check with them directly.

YOGA
There are still spaces available in the yoga classes.  There is no Grade 3-7 session this term due to too few pupils.  If the interest and numbers improve, we will re-introduce the lesson.

The Term 3 Lion Inside award goes to a girl who is recognised for her warm, embracing and friendly nature, and her instinctual and perceptive understanding of the feelings and needs of others. Rather than judge her peers for any wrongdoing, she will try to put herself in their shoes, and look for the good qualities in that person, instead of focusing on the negative. She notices when someone is feeling left out, and will go out of her way to make them feel included. Congratulations to Annabelle Rowe, who is the worthy recipient.

A very Happy Bosses Day to our wonderful Headmistress!

Thursday was a glorious day and the Grade 3s took advantage of it by visiting the ‘Class in the Clouds’ on the top of Table Mountain. They learnt some interesting facts about the mountain and especially enjoyed seeing one lonely dassie. They were very excited that Ms Gray could join them in the cable car ride.

Grade 4s creating their own fraction set. The smallest fraction achieved was 1/2048. That was a lot of folding!

Grade 1s enjoying their Phys Ed Lesson on Bok Friday!
