NEIGHBOURLY PARKING

A reminder to please be considerate when parking around the school, this includes parking on verges or curbs. We have received a special request from one of our  neighbours (and past Micklefield family) directly across from our front gate, not to park on their curb as they currently redoing their grass.

micklefield wheelie bag

The Micklefield wheelie bag, sold at The school Shop, will only be available toward the end of this year. This bag is an import and none of the local suppliers produce this bag. Apologies for the inconvenience. The smaller Micklefield satchel and bigger backpack are currently available.

A call for contributions letter has been e-mailed to parents and is also available on the Edana App under documentation. Please assist our class reps in their planning by completing and returning the form by Friday 1 March. Thank you for your support!

sport and extra-murals

The updated 2024 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Edana App, under Documentation.  Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning. All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer is available on the Edana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals.  Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers.

GUM GUARDS

Jeanne-Marie Engelbrecht will be at Micklefield on Tuesday 27 February to fit gum guard moulds for those pupils who have ordered. These are expensive custom-made gum guards and are more suited to the older girls. Shop bought gum guards are absolutely fine for the hockey season. Forms have been handed out to any interested girls this week. Completed forms and proof of payment must be given to Sandi Blackbeard by Monday 26 February.

SWIMMING

  • Friday, 1 March at Pinehurst
  • Tuesday, 5 March at Herschel Senior School pool – Inter-Schools gala (U10 – U13)
  • Friday, 8 March at St Cyprians – Please note this extra gala in place of Fri, 23 Feb. We are aware that this is the Summer Picnic, but that only starts at 17.30

SPORTS DAY

A reminder that all pupils from Grades 00-7 must be at school by 06.50 on Saturday, 24 January for Sports Day.  We will start promptly at 07.00 and hope to be finished by 11.45.  All pupils from Grades 1-7 must wear their Phys Ed uniform with their house colour t-shirts.  We are looking forward to a great event!

A sneak preview of some of the incredible Fancy Hats that will form part of the Fancy Hat Parade on Sports Day.

There was a spash of green, red and blue in the neighbourhood on Thursday as our Gr 3-7s ran the Inter-House Cross Country. There was great spirit amongst the houses and the girls ran their hearts out. The results will be announced at Sports Day.
