SHOCKING PINK CONCERTS

Shocking Pink will be performing alongside the highly regarded adult ensemble, Vocal Unity.  We invite the Micklefield community to support this live event. Tickets will be sold at the door for R50 each. The proceeds will go towards the Constantia Heritage and Education Project.

  • Date:                   Tuesday 30 August
  • Venue:                Christ Church Constantia, Constantia Main Road
  • Starting time:    19h00

Shocking Pink will be hosting an intimate concert at Micklefield:

  • Date:                      Monday 12 September
  • Venue:                   Micklefield School
  • Starting time:       19:00
  • Featuring guest artists: Olga Leonard and Babette Viljoen and past Shocking Pink girls: Sibulele Sodayise, Paballo Mphepya Buhle Lekoma and Zoë West

We have invited our friends Olga Leonard and Babette Viljoen to feature as guest artists. Both are versatile professional musicians and experienced teachers who share a studio in Harfield Village. Olga and Babette have travelled the country, performing in arts festivals with a female vocal quartet and at events such as weddings as a duo.   They attract a niche audience for their settings of Afrikaans poetry at the Woordfees and in cabaret. Four of our past Shocking Pink singers have agreed to return to Micklefield to present solo items.  After a long break from live performance, Sibulele Sodayise, Paballo Mphepya, Buhle Lekoma and Zoë West will give the occasion the sense of a Shocking Pink reunion.

FOOD FORWARD

In order to reduce the amount of food wastage from unwanted lunchboxes that ends up in the bins, girls are able to give their unwanted food in to their class teachers and the food is delivered daily to homeless people in need.
