Please use the Stop and Go system correctly so as to avoid a back-up of traffic in Wood and Sandown Roads. Should you wish to get out of the car to say goodbye, assist with bags etc. please rather park down the road and walk your daughter to the school entrance. Thank you for your assistance with this.

We have noticed a number of non-school branding creeping in on school bags. With regards to school bags (Gr 1-7), our uniform policy states that girls may use the Micklefield branded school bag available from the School Shop or a plain school bag without any branding may also be used. For reference, the School Uniform Policy is available on the Edana App under Documentation.
The new Snack Pack offering has just finished its 2nd week, is running smoothly and has been well received by all the girls. Please note that NO further changes or additions will be accepted for Term 1 (the two week window period for changes has now closed). If you wish to make a change to your Term 2-4 Snack Pack order, please email Lisa Lawson on accounts@micklefield.co.za.

The 2023 sport and extra-mural programme is available on the Edana App, under Documentation. Please check both the Term 1 and 4 (Summer) and the Term 2 and 3 (Winter) schedules when doing your planning.
There have been a number of changes to times and days of certain extra-murals, especially school run extra-murals in order to accommodate sport, choirs and marimbas.
All information with regards to the private extra-murals on offer are available on the Edana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals. Please liaise directly with the extra-mural providers.
Tennis fixtures start on Thursday, 2 February. These are available on the Adana app. Hard copies have been sent home with each of the players. Please be aware that a match list will go out every Monday with the list of teams and venues for that Thursday match. We have to liaise with the other schools weekly in order to sort courts for the matches.
For private tennis lessons, please find the BVTS Micklefield Tennis Academy information in the Adana App under Documentation, Sport/Extra-murals. We are wanting one coaching style for our girls so we can build our teams to be strong and competitive.
The gala squads have been selected and information has gone out to the swimmers. The first gala will be held at Pinehurst Primary in Pinelands on Friday, 3 February. All information regarding the gala, together with the team list will be sent out on Wednesday via your class Whatsapp group.
The Open Age Group Hockey Trials for the Knysna Tour will be held on Saturday 11 February from 08:30 – 11:30 at the Bishops Senior School Astro. Any girls from this age group who would like to try out for the tour are to attend. The Knysna Hockey Tour is from Friday 17 March – Monday 20 March 2023.
Snack Pack 2023 is up-and-running and the girls are loving the variety of goodies on offer. Thank you to all who support this fundraising initiative and to the team who make it happen!
The Grade 1 to 7 Maths teachers put their Maths brains to the test on a full day of hands-on Singapore Maths training last Saturday. This course was a relevant introduction to teachers who are new to Singapore Maths and an excellent refresher to those who have been teaching Singapore Maths for years.
