Fun Run

Well done to all our Micklefield families and Staff who braved the cold on Sunday morning, 30 July to participate in the fun run/walk held in Pinelands.  Congratulations to Joanna Twycross (U11) who finished 2nd overall in the 5km race, followed by Tamsyn Bougard (U13) who finished 3rd and Ella Titley (U9) who finished 4th!  A Micklefield 2, 3 and 4!

Netball Festival

On Wednesday, 2 August all our netball teams took part in a netball festival held at various venues.  The girls thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, although the competition was strong so we need to work on our fitness, skills and feistiness!

U13s played at Springfield

World Cup Netball

Some of our girls have been lucky enough to attend the World Cup Netball at the CTICC! Zoe Cole got to meet her new hero, Carla Pretorius, the South African goal defender. weekly snapshots

We celebrated two very special Birthdays this week. Happy 60th Birthday Sandy Riley and Happy 50th Birthday Rebecca Zizi!

BOOK OF THE WEEK: Beatrix Bryan in Grade 6 believes that anyone who loves adventure and time travel would love this book. Three children find themselves onboard a scientific research ship sailing through hazardous waters, captained by Isaac Newton. They are lost in the year 2473 in the Wonderscape, an epic in-reality adventure game, and they need to play to get home.

Class music percussion session with Mrs Fyvie is always a treat
The Grade 2s have been presenting an Afrikaans Oral on their pets this week.
Grade 2s learning to tell the time!

The Grade 3 class love bringing stories to life on stage and will find all sorts of inventive ways to do so.

INTERMEDIATE PHASE ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Mila Bester (Gr 5)
FOUNDATION PHASE ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Grace Stein (Gr 2)

Rehearsals are full speed ahead for our Gr 4-7 Madagascar Musical. Prepare yourself for an evening of fast-paced zany entertainment! Performances run from 15 – 19 September 2023 with bookings opening on 22 August 2023.

In Grade 0 we are exploring day and night. The girls made their own Starry Night pictures inspired by Vincent van Gogh and sunset silhouette pictures.
