This term, the recipient of the Lion Inside Award goes to a girl who is outspoken and is easily able to speak her mind, yet she does so in a calm, respectful manner. She is not afraid of a challenge and will address a conflict by confronting it, to find a reasonable solution, appreciating that there are always two sides to a story. She is commended on the manner in which she ran leadership meetings as chairlady of the executive committee this term, The Lion Inside Award  goes to Leilah Joseph.

We are still in need of marshals for the Grade 3 – 7 Cross Country, this takes place during second break on Wednesdays (12:45 – 13:30).
Information regarding marshals for Grade 1 & 2 Cross Country will be sent out in the first week of term 2.

Cross Country will go ahead regardless of enough marshals, however, this does put our children at risk.

weekly snapshot

Grade 4-7 girls took part in the first round of the South African Mathematics Challenge on Tuesday, 12 March. The challenge aims to push the boundaries of mathematical thinking and is designed to challenge learners and take them beyond the curriculum. There are three rounds, each more challenging than the last.
Congratulations to the following girls who made it through to Round 2 which will take place on 22 May.

Our first term ended on a high note as our violinists, pianists and recorders performed for us in assembly. What a joy it is to see the bubbly energy of our junior musicians as they take to the stage!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our house colour civvies day on Tuesday. The outfits were amazing.

Amazing vocal performance from Leila Joseph in final assembly.
