KNYSNA HOCKEY TOUR

The Open A hockey squad enjoyed their hockey tour to Knysna over the long weekend.  They were great ambassadors for Micklefield, both on and off the field.  They played strong opposition and really grew as individuals and as a team, playing 12 matches over the 3 days so a lot of hockey.  Well done, girls!

HOLIDAY HOCKEY CLINIC

  • Holiday Hockey Clinic with Olympian- Murray Anderson

Dear Parents

I still have places available. During the upcoming April holidays I will be running two hockey coaching clinics on the Woodlands Astroturf here at Bishops. Here, your child will receive coaching that will focus on basic and advanced skills plus general team play. The boys and girls will experience three fun-filled days where they will learn and develop these important aspects of the game.  Matches will be played at every session and I will supply a drink and a snack each day. Siblings and friends are most welcome, but the clinic is aimed at children from Grade 3 to 7. If you cannot attend each and every day, you can also book per day. Places are limited, so please email me at: manderson@bishops.org.za to secure your spot. Please let me know whether your child will be attending Clinic One or Clinic Two. To secure your child’s place, the clinic fee can then be deposited into the following bank account: Kelly Anderson, Investec Private Bank, Acc no 100 112 980 82, branch code 580105.

The girls enjoyed some delicious treats that are found on almost any table of a Muslim, in Cape Town, during the month of Ramadan. Salmah enlightened the girls about what it means to fast and the importance of self-restraint during this month. The girls mostly enjoyed getting their hands painted with henna and an intricate design of their choice.
